How the math works

Real missed calls per month = calls per week × 4.33 weeks × share that isn't spam × share that go unanswered. Monthly cost = real missed calls × your average call value.

Time lost to spam = spam calls someone answers × minutes each. By default the calculator assumes 85% of calls are spam and each one you pick up costs 3 minutes; change either to match your line. The point isn't the exact number. It's how few saved calls it takes to cover $29 a month.

Callers with a real need rarely leave a voicemail. They call the next name on the list, and you never find out what the call was worth. Fast Response answers on your own business line, books the job or showing, and texts you a summary, and your team can still pick up any call live.

Frequently asked questions

Take the calls you get each week, remove the share that's spam, and multiply by the share that go unanswered and by about 4.33 weeks. That's real calls missed per month. Multiply by your average call value: what a typical real call is worth once you factor in how many callers actually book. Spam you do answer is counted separately, as time lost.
No. A large share of business calls are spam, so the calculator assumes 85% of calls are spam by default (you can change it) and only counts real calls that go unanswered as lost business. Spam still costs you: every junk call someone picks up takes a few minutes, which the calculator shows as hours lost per month.
Usually not. A caller with a job, an emergency, or a lease to sign rarely leaves a voicemail; they call the next business on the list. Fast Response answers every call 24/7 on your own number from $29/mo, so one saved job typically covers months of service. See Fast Response plans
